Flower Squares

I've been following the Less Is More challenge blog since it started but this is the first week that I've made a card for one of their challenges.  The theme is 'three squares' so I've used one of my oldest Little Claire stamps (mine is a wood mounted one which shows how long I've had it!) and coloured the flowers with Promarkers.  It look a bit of time to get it all lined up - just goes to show that less isn't always easy!!

As well as the Less is More challenge, I'd like to enter the card in the following:
Stamp Something - flowers

Moving Along With the Times - Challenge 87

This week's challenge at Moving Along with the Times is 'fashion' which fits perfectly with this card which I made with the new Room with a View 'Wardrobe' stamp set from Little Claire Designs which is now available here - this was another of the sets launched on Create and Craft on Wednesday this week.

I cut the doors on the wardrobe with a craft knife and when they are opened the card looks like this (with apologies that my photo isn't too good!):

A Blog Award from Dee

Many thanks to Dee for this blog award - very much appreciated and a lovely surprise too!

The instructions that come with this award are:
Step 1 - make a post linking back to the person who gave you the award
Step 2 - share seven random things about yourself
Step 3 - award fifteen recently discovered bloggers with this award
Step 4 - contact those bloggers and tell them they've won the award

I've done step 1 with the link to Dee's blog above so step 2 is to share seven random things about myself.  Well, I'm a card and ATC making addict (goes without saying!), I'm a big fan of radio comedy, I'm an 80s music addict, I love detective/crime fiction, I love costume dramas on TV, I'm a blog addict and I love shopping for craft things.

And I'll pass the award on to the following people:
I know that isn't fifteen people but I can't think of anyone else who fits the 'recently discovered' category at the moment - I'll add to my list when I find some more blogs!

Moving Along With the Times - Challenge 86

This week's challenge at Moving Along With the Times is 'anything for a little girl but not a card' so I've uploaded a scan of some ATCs I made last month for the monthly swap on one of the Yahoo groups I belong to.  The images are all from Nutcrafters and I used up some scraps of paper that I had for the backgrounds as well as some peel offs.

Paper Sundaes Challenge and Craft Us Crazy

For this week's challenge at Paper Sundaes you can pick your own sundae toppings from a list of four - I've chosen pink and flowers for my card.  It's a shaker card - made for a swap on one of the Yahoo groups I belong to - and something I haven't made for ages.  I cut an oval frame using scalloped and plain die cuts and then put acetate behind the frame before attaching it to my stamped image with foam tape.  I've kept the background very plain because I want the focus to be on the shaker part of it.

I'd also like to enter the card in the 'anything goes' challenge currently running on Craft Us Crazy which is a new challenge blog that I've spotted tonight while I've been doing a bit of blog hopping!

Card Recipe

Stamp - Little Claire Designs
Paper - My Mind's Eye
Pale pink card and acetate
Heart confetti - Mei Flowers

Digi Downloads Now Available at Little Claire Designs

New at Little Claire Designs is a range of their stamp images available as downloads - you can see them here.  There are lots to choose from and they range in price from 50p upwards.  If you look really carefully, you'll find a freebie to download and try - to give you a clue, have at look here at the card I made for the first Little Claire monthly challenge!  Apart from being cheaper and taking up even less storage space, the other advantage of the downloads is that you can resize them as you want - even more flexibility than a stamp!

More Cards from Big Hugs - Little Claire Designs

I love this little mouse which is part of the Big Hugs February club set from Little Claire Designs - it's a nice quick image to stamp and colour but can be used for so many different occasions. I've decoupaged the mouse on this card and also cut out an additional flower which I added to the corner of the card. The purple paper is from Dovecraft and I've also added purple nailhead gems. The sentiment is part of the stamp set.

Big Hugs - Little Claire Designs

This card is made with the final image in the Big Hugs set from Little Claire Designs - mice with a piece of cheese with the skirting board and a little mouse hole in the background! It doesn't show up properly on the photo but I die cut a frame in the yellow paper to make this card and then put the black frame inside that and the image at the back. My idea was that you were looking in through the card to the mice behind! The yellow paper is from Dovecraft and I've added a peel off greeting and some black gems.

Big Hugs - February Stamps from Little Claire Designs

Here is the first of the cards that I've made with the new February club stamps from Little Claire Designs - the set is called 'Big Hugs' and is now available here on their website. The cat at the window (with the little mice!) is the main image on the sheet - I've stamped and coloured it and then decoupaged the cat. The sentiment is in two parts so I've put the first part under the image and used the second as the 'stopper' for the easel card. I've finished the card with some paper flowers coloured with Promarkers. Two more cards to follow tomorrow!
